The Master of Arts Teaching exposes degree candidates to approaches that will enable them to collaboratively work toward educational ideals and evidence-based practices.
Courses at 海角社区
All education-specific courses are offered in an evening schedule, using a combination of face-to-face learning and online instruction. Secondary and K鈥�12 content courses are offered in a combination of evening and weekday courses.

海角社区 Licensing Options
海角社区 offers 14 teaching license options, as well as four middle level endorsements (grades 5-8) that can be added to another license.
There are no聽program聽prerequisites for entry to 海角社区鈥檚 graduate licensure programs. Instead, 海角社区鈥檚 programs consist of all education and content courses required for a license.
Most secondary education candidates will find they have fulfilled at least some licensure standards with their undergraduate degrees. For a detailed list of required courses, refer to the Graduate Catalog.

Meet your faculty
海角社区 faculty members who teach in the MAT/MAE program are a mix of full-time and adjunct instructors, all of whom have K-12 teaching experience. Many adjunct instructors are currently teaching in K-12 settings; all full-time faculty members are frequent visitors to K-12 settings through student teaching and field experience supervision, volunteer work, and/or in-service education.
